Emergency Prescription Services
If you have run out of a regular medicine and cannot reach your GP, our pharmacist may be able to provide an emergency supply.
An emergency supply may be possible where you have previously been prescribed the medicine, the pharmacist judges there is an immediate need, and it is safe and appropriate to supply. Eligibility always depends on a professional assessment - some medicines (for example most controlled drugs) cannot be supplied this way.
Before visiting us, please try to contact your GP surgery or, if closed, call NHS 111 - they can often arrange an urgent electronic prescription sent straight to us. If that is not possible, come in with any old packaging or a repeat slip and speak to our pharmacist. A private charge may apply for the medicine and consultation; we will always be upfront about this before supplying anything.
We will do everything we reasonably can to help, but we cannot guarantee an emergency supply in every case.
